Tour Overview
Our journey to the Christian Holy Land Israel tour start with a Drive on the Mediterranean sea to explore Caesarea, Megiddo, Haifa ,Acre. We continue to the north of the country, visit the serene Galilee Nazareth, Cana, and the Golan Heights from there we Drive to Holy Jerusalem to see iconic sites of Jerusalem’s Old City, and in Bethlehem to explore the Church of Nativity from Jerusalem we going south to see the Archaeological site Masada and Qumeran we finish our day on the float in the unsinkable water and cover yourself with the mineral rich mud on the Dead Sea. our next stop will be in Timna famous for its archaeological and geological park from ther we continue to Eilat for day at leisure or option to visit Petra UNESCO World Heritage Centre. On our way back visit Mitzpeh Ramon and Sde Boker.
Itinerary
The beginning of your journey in the Holy Land.
After passport control, the representative of Click Tours will be waiting to welcome you (with a sign with your name on it) at the arrival lounge, ready to drive your directly to your amazing vacation in Israel.
Overnight: Tel Aviv
Depart Tel-Aviv and drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region; visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. Proceed to Muhraka, the site of confrontation between Elijah and the prophets of Baal; enjoy the spectacular view of the Jezreel valley and the lower Galilee . Continue to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon; learn the impressive history of this battle field as you visit the archaeological excavations including the well-preserved water supply system. Onto Acre to visit the remarkable underground Crusader City and crypt; walk through the Old City recognized by UNESCO as world heritage site , the local market and harbor.
Overnight: Kibbutz Hotel
After a short tour of Tiberias, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee; visit the Yigal Alon center where the “Jesus boat”, an ancient fishing boat from the 1st century, is displayed. Continue to Capernaum to visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Stop at Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of Fish and Loaves, and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Proceed to Mount of Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the sermon on the mount. Drive to the Banias Springs and tour the Golan heights.
Overnight: Kibbutz Hotel
Drive to Cana to visit the Wedding Church, where Jesus performed his first miracle turning water into wine. Continue to Nazareth to visit the Church of Annunciation, Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s well. Proceed to Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan river; next, stop at Beit Shean to visit the newly excavated Roman city and amphitheatre. Drive along the Jordan valley to Jerusalem.
Overnight: Jerusalem
Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city; visit the Church of All Nations, King David’s Tomb and Room of Last Supper on Mt. Zion. Enter the Old City ; walk through the Cardo, the ancient roman road; visit the Jewish and Christian quarters; view the Temple Mount; walk along the Via Dolorosa and the oriental Bazaar to visit the Church of Holy Sepulchre. Next, drive to the Garden Tomb and enjoy the beautiful gardens and peaceful ambiance.
Overnight: Jerusalem
Drive to Ein Karem to visit the Church of Visitation; proceed to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust. Visit Israel Museum, the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea scrolls are housed, and the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the Second Temple period. Proceed to Bethlehem, birthplace of Jesus; visit Shepherds’ field; walk through Manger Square to visit the remarkable Church of Nativity.
Overnight: Jerusalem
Drive through the Judean hills to Qumran caves, where the Dead Sea scrolls were found; Continue along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D; ascend Massada by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod; visit the remains of the walls, water cistern and Herod’s Palace; descend by cable car. Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth; enjoy the opportunity to float in the unsinkable water and cover yourself with the mineral rich mud, believed to have therapeutic effects.
Overnight: Jerusalem
Starting with a drive to the southern part of Israel to Timna. This place is famous for its archaeological and geological park. In the park, you can find sand in different colors. We will also see the Shlomo’s columns. From there to Eilat, the southern city of Israel that lies at the foot of the Red Sea. In Eilat, we will visit the underwater observatory which is filled with corals. During the rest of the day, we will spend time in the bay of Eilat.
Overnight: Eilat
We will cross the Israeli-Jordanian border in the direction of Petra. Petra was built by the Nabateans in antiquity. We will start the tour with a riding 700 meters on horseback until we reach Petra’s famous pothole. Cross the gorge (1.2 km), on foot, we will visit the famous treasury, royal tombs, the court, Roman theater, Roman street, qasser el- bint (Palace of Pharaoh’s daughter) and many other smaller monuments which fascinate the visitors. The city itself is 45 square kilometers and is considered a world wonder. After the visit, we will stop at a local restaurant for lunch.
Overnight: Eilat
Starting with a trip to Mitzpeh Ramon. We’ll stop to gaze into the Ramon Crater, a geological wonder. From there to the next station- Sde Boker. In Sde Boker we will see the grave of Israel’s first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion. We will also visit the old hut where he lived. From Ben-Gurion’s grave, there is an incredible panoramic view to Zin Valley. we will enjoy a camel ride which will take us to a Bedouin tent where we will enjoy the experience of this community. Enjoy a light lunch at the site. From there to the next station- Hatzerim, where we will visit the Israeli Air Force Museum and will see together the old airplanes alongside the new ones. We will hear stories of heroism related to the Israeli air force.
Overnight: Tel Aviv
Check out of the hotel following breakfast.
Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for the flight home.
