Take a guided day trip from Milan to explore the historic city of Verona and the scenic shores of Lake Garda. See Verona with a guided walk, then continue on to the lovely lakeside town of Sirmione.
What you can expect
After the drive from Milan to Verona, you’ll be guided through the sights made famous by Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. You’ll see the well-known balcony of the Capulet house, where Romeo is said to have called out to Juliet.
While the story draws many to Verona, the city has much more to see: the Roman amphitheater from the 1st century AD, still home to open-air operas each summer. You’ll also see Piazza Mercato and other beautiful landmarks in Verona’s historic center.
At lunchtime, you’ll have free time to explore on your own—whether shopping, wandering the streets, or relaxing at a café in the old town.
In the afternoon, the tour continues to Sirmione, a historic fortified village at the tip of a narrow peninsula stretching 4 km into Lake Garda. You’ll see panoramic views of both shores of the lake, with the option to take a boat tour (subject to availability, extra fee). Afterward, relax on the return journey to Milan.
