Itinerary

Arrive independently at your hotel in Catania or the picturesque Acitrezza village, known for its beautiful Faraglioni (private transfer optional upoin request with extra charge). Enjoy leisure time and overnight stay.

After breakfast, journey to Syracuse to explore its UNESCO-listed Greek colony. Start at the Archaeological Park of Neapolis, featuring the Greek Theatre, Roman Amphitheatre, Latomie of Paradise, and the Ear of Dionysius. Then, visit Ortigia with its Cathedral and Arethusa’s Fountain. Enjoy free time for lunch (not included) before continuing to Noto, renowned for its Sicilian Baroque architecture. Explore Palazzo Nicolaci Villadorata and stroll through the town at your own leisure. Finally, transfer to Ragusa for dinner and overnight stay.

Discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ragusa Ibla, renowned for its Sicilian Baroque beauty and as a setting for Inspector Montalbano. This little precious ancient town hosts more than 50 churches. Explore the Cathedral in Dome square and the panoramic Giardino Ibleo. In Modica, another UNESCO gem, savor chocolate tasting at Sabadì, known for its award-winning flavors like wild mint and Sicilian lemon. Enjoy free time for lunch (not included) in the scenic Orti di San Giorgio gardens before visiting the UNESCO-listed Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina, famous for its vibrant mosaics depicting myths and history. Head to Agrigento for dinner and overnight stay.

Today, we start in Agrigento, exploring the famous Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO site with stunning Doric Temples from the 5th century. Then, onto Marsala, a lively city rich in history, including Garibaldi’s arrival in 1860. Explore the city center and tour the Florio Cellars for a taste of Marsala wine. Finally, we visit the Salt Road, known for its ancient salt industry and diverse birdlife, before heading to Palermo for the night.

After breakfast, marvel at Monreale’s Norman Cathedral, known as the Eighth Wonder of the World, and its Arab-Norman style Cloister. Then, delve into Palermo’s diverse history and art, from Baroque buildings to ancient walls and Art Nouveau villas. Explore the Cathedral, Martorana Church, and the enchanting Cappella Palatina, celebrating cultural fusion. Enjoy free time for lunch and exploration, spotting landmarks like Teatro Massimo and Pretoria Square’s fountain. Dinner not included. Overnight at the hotel.

The Sicilian Adventure concludes today. Have breakfast at the hotel before services end.
