Greece Discovery & Island Hopping

Tour Overview

Mykonos and Santorini are now among the most popular destinations on the Greek islands, and on our trip, you’ll discover why. The endless blue and white structures, ancient monuments, azure seas, and luxurious accommodations – if this isn’t your idea of paradise, we’re not sure what is. In between Athens’ historical vibes and the lively life of the city, we’ll explore these idyllic islands for an exciting experience you won’t forget.

Itinerary

Welcome to Greece! When you arrive at the airport, our team will meet you and take you to the booked hotel, where you can check in and exploring at your own leisure.

This morning, we’ll take you on a sightseeing tour of Athens, where you’ll learn about the city’s history and culture. From Hadrian’s Arch to Panathenaic Stadium to Olympian Zeus Temple to Academy to National Library to Constitution Square (Syntagma); you’ll see it all in one day . Acropolis, the eternal symbol of democracy, education, and inspiration, will be the next stop on your tour. Your tour will end with the visit to the impressive Acropolis Museum (entrance fees included). Rest of the day at your leisure.

After breakfast, you will be picked up by our bus for a special day trip to Delphi, which was home to ancient Greece’s most revered oracle and was considered to be the geographic epicenter of the ancient world. The Apollo Pythius Sanctuary’s ruins can be found on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a setting of unparalleled beauty and majesty. It is impossible not to be impressed by Treasury of the Athenians, Theatre, Stadium, and Museum, all of which house the world-famous Antinoos Statue and the one-of-a-kind bronze statue of The Charioteer, dating from 475 BC, as well as the legendary athlete Aghias. See Amphissa, Lamia, and Trikala from your window as you drive through the Thessalian plains toward your late-afternoon arrival in Kalambaka at your hotel. Enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Wake up to a delicious hotel breakfast before heading to Meteora. There are more than 20 rock monasteries in Meteora, either perched on top of the cliffs or built into the cliffs themselves inside naturally formed caves, which are all UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Spectacular scenery, priceless religious and historical artifacts, and awe-inspiring vistas. You can stop in Thermopylae, a coastal town near Lamia, to learn about the battle between the Greek Spartans and the Persians at Thermopylae. Early evening arrival in Athens.

Transfer to the Piraeus port in the morning to take the ferry to Santorini. You’ll be picked up from the port and taken to your hotel, where you can spend the rest of your vacation relaxing on the beautiful island.

Free day to take advantage of the stunning scenery, black sand beaches, and the most romantic sunsets on the planet! Optional (with extra charge): half-day cruise to the small volcanic islands of Nea Kammeni and Palea Kammeni found in the center of the famous caldera, and the hot springs with orangey water, where you will have free time for swimming. Do not miss out on the chance to dine on the rim of the caldera with the most breathtaking view.

A leisurely start to the day. Transfer to the port and departure to the island of Mykonos, the most famous island in Greece and, with no doubt the most cosmopolitan in Cyclades islands. When you arrive in Mykonos, a driver will meet you and take you to your hotel. The old port and Little Venice are great places to spend an afternoon wandering around at your leisure.

Mykonos is an exhilarating vacation spot that combines cosmopolitan nightlife with the natural history and timeless beauty of the Cyclades. With its white-washed cubic houses with blue windows, narrow streets covered in pebbles and little white chapels covered in sky-blue cupolas, the island is a wonderful place to explore. The Mykonos Windmills, with their distinctive form and white figure, have been a landmark of the island since the 16th century, so make the most of your free time while you’re there. Not to be missed is a photo op at the Paraportiani Church, a unique Greek architectural structure near the entrance to Mykonos harbor.

Transfer to the port and departure to Piraeus. Upon arrival you will be taken to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.

On your last day of the Greek adventure, you will be accompanied to the Athens airport in time for your flight back home. We assure you, that after such intense and ennobling 10 days, your heart and your luggage will be overflowing with wonderful memories of your Greek adventure, that you will carry with you for a long, long time.
