Our Jewish Heritage journey start in Tel Aviv, we passing through the Mediterranean sea to Caesarea, Acre Rosh Hanikra and Haifa. Explore Northern Israel Galilee Jeep tour, Tiberias, Safed and Golan Heights. explore the iconic sites of Jerusalem’s Old City, Jewish Quarter, Western Wall (Ha Kotel), Yad Vashem, ride the cable car to the fortress of Masada and float at the lowest place on earth – the Dead Sea and Qumran. Visit Negev desert, Timna and continu to Eilat, Enjoy a fun day in Eilat with option to visit Petra the UNESCO World Heritage Centre. Depart Eilat via Mitzpe Ramon to visit Sde Boker see Ben Gurion’s hut, continue to Israel’s Airforce Museum and more.

Itinerary

The beginning of your journey in Israel.
After passport control, the representative of Click Tours will be waiting to welcome you (with a sign with your name on it) at the arrival lounge, ready to drive your directly to your amazing vacation in Israel.

Overnight: Tel Aviv

Commence the day’s activities by visiting the historical independence hall where Israel got established as a state. The next stop will be the Armored Corps memorial museum in Latrun, which is considered as one of the most diverse museums in the whole world. You then continue to Beit Guvrin national park, which according to UNESCO is a world heritage site. You will explore parts of the archeological remains and the unique caves here. You now proceed to Ayalon institute; this was once a secret underground ammunition factory, which was established by the ‘Haganah,’ the Jewish underground movement around 1948.

Overnight: Tel Aviv

Visiting the Diaspora Museum (Beit Hatfutsot); Drive around the main streets of Tel Aviv, which is the center and of business and entertainment in Israel also referred to as the ‘White City’, Tel-Aviv was declared by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site due to it’s Bauhaus style buildings. We stop at Rabin’s square; this was where Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin got assassinated. We continew ahead to Old Jaffa, one of the oldest port cities around the world. Also, the ancient ruins and walk which lies along the Artist’s Quarter. We will pay a visit to Neve Tzedek, the first neighborhood of Tel Aviv built way back in 1887 and Nahalat Benyamin, the pedestrian mall where you can enjoy live street music, arts, crafts, and handmade jewelry. Continue to Sheinkin, the lively and colorful street known for it’s special and unique shops, café life and youthful atmosphere.

Overnight: Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv is known for its beach and holds the pleasure of being known as “The City That Never Sleeps.” You will enjoy the abundant blossoming flowers, innovative new restaurants, and ample opportunity to party. Tel Aviv is an active city available for fun 24-hours a day. Experience Tel Aviv’s sandy Mediterranean beaches, buzzing nightlife, historical attractions and museums, abundant shopping, and inspiring architecture.

Overnight: Tel Aviv

In the morning drive north to Caesarea, which was once the Roman capital of the region. See the extensive excavations of the Crusaders’ city, the aqueduct, and the restored amphitheater that is now a concert venue. Travel to Haifa to pay a call on the Clandestine Immigration and Naval Museum (Af al Pi Chen) and hear the tale of the illegal immigrants to Israel during the British mandate. Drive to Acre, the Old City recognized by UNESCO as world heritage site; walk through the old port and local market. Continue to Rosh Hanikra; descend by cable car into the underwater grottoes and admire the spectacular natural formation.

Overnight: Kibbutz Hotel

Start with a drive to Safed, one of four holy cities in Israel and center of the Kabala movement. We visit the Caro and Ari synagogues and stroll through the narrow alleyways to find the Artists’ quarter. Next, benefit from a Jeep tour at the feet of the Golan. Move to the Golan Heights and stop at Gadot overlook, a memorial for the fallen of the Golan that is located over former Syrian bunkers. See the monument built to honor the Alexandroni brigade. Next, proceed toward the observation point over the city of Kuneitra and the Syrian territory. Drive to Tel-Hai and see the “Roaring Lion” monument to learn about the dramatic battle of Josef Trumpeldor in 1920. Overnight at a Kibbutz and meet with a Kibbutz member to learn about their lifestyle.

Drive to Tiberias for a visit at Rambam’s grave before continuing through the Jordan valley at Beit Shean, also known as “Scythopolis.” Witness the fascinating excavated remains of the Roman and Byzantine periods. We will stop at Beit Alpha to appreciate the beautiful mosaic floor of a synagogue discovered in 1929. Travel to Gan Hashlosha national park and revel in the warm spring water pools and waterfalls. Continue through the Jordan valley to Jerusalem with a stop at Mount Scopus for a blessing as you enter the city.

Overnight: Jerusalem

Begin with a visit to the Tomb of King David on Mt. Zion. Take a walk along the Cardo, the heart of the Roman city, and visit four Sephardic Synagogues restored in the Jewish quarter after 1967. Tour the Western Wall Tunnels and visit the Archaeological park at Davidson Center. Then walk through the bustling and colorful local bazaar toward the Tower of David museum, which shows the history of Jerusalem and ancient remains from the city beginning with the first temple period.

Overnight: Jerusalem

Experience the joy of Bar-Mitzvah ceremonies at the Kotel then drive through Mea Shearim, one of the oldest Jewish neighborhoods of Jerusalem, to learn about the lifestyle of the ultra-orthodox communities. We proceed to Mount Herzl, the military cemetery, and Yad Vashem, a memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Next, visit Ammunition Hill, once a Jordanian army stronghold conquered by the Israeli army in a six-day war. Ammunition Hill has since converted into a national memorial and museum. Take a drive by the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, to see the Menorah and biblical emblems. Visit Israel Museum’s the Shrine of the Book where lay the Dead Sea scrolls, and the Holyland model, a miniature replica of Jerusalem during the second temple period.

Overnight: Jerusalem

Start your day with a drive through the Judean desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Visit Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered, then continue to Masada to ascend by cable car for a tour of the mountain fortress built by King Herod. This is where the Zealots made their final stand against the Romans. Travel around the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogue, and bathhouse. At the end of your tour, descend by cable car and stop for lunch and spa options in one of the leading hotels of the area. Enjoy a float atop the mineral-rich Dead Sea.

Enjoy a free day in Jerusalem or an optional tour of the Masada and Dead Sea (extra charge).

Visit Negev desert, which is on the south, stop at Timna, a large geological and archeological park. Here you enjoy the view of the colored rock formations and copper mines; and views the outstanding Solomon’s pillars. Continue to Eilat, the southernmost resort city that lies on the shores of the Red Sea. View the Underwater Observatory marine park, built into a coral reef and enjoy the rare opportunity for a close up look at the rich life of the Gulf of Eilat.

Overnight: Eilat

Visit Negev desert, which is on the south, stop at Timna, a large geological and archeological park. Here you enjoy the view of the colored rock formations and copper mines; and views the outstanding Solomon’s pillars. Continue to Eilat, the southernmost resort city that lies on the shores of the Red Sea. View the Underwater Observatory marine park, built into a coral reef and enjoy the rare opportunity for a close up look at the rich life of the Gulf of Eilat.

Overnight: Eilat

Depart Eilat via Mitzpe Ramon; Stop to gaze into the Ramon crater, a geological wonder; Proceed to Sde Boker and see Ben Gurion’s hut and grave overlooking the magnificent Zin valley. Stop for a visit to an authentic Bedouin tent; Learn about the Bedouin hospitality and enjoy a light lunch. Continue to Hatzerim and visit Israel’s Airforce Museum to view the planes and equipment and to hear the story of this brave fighting force.

Overnight: Tel Aviv

Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for the flight home.
