Shavuot in Israel
Shavuot celebrated in Israel is known as a period of great enjoyment which brings a lot of joy and happiness with it. The Shavuot festivities include many fun activities like music festivals, events for families and kids, stalls, exhibitions and many more. Shavuot is a one-day event which is generally partied in May or early June. Shavuot 2020 will begin in the evening of 28 May and will end in the evening of 30 May.
As the time passed, new traditions have been established in Israel that buried the old traditions of Shavuot. But the major and limited practice included in Shavuot is the increased intake of dairy products such as cheesecake. There are many other customs celebrated as well in the name of Shavuot such as parade ceremonies or the great stalls of seasonal fruits.
Due to COVID-19 has disturbed our lives, it has also disturbed the overall schedule of events of Shavuot. So this year no Shavuot festivals will occur.
