Itinerary
Welcome to Megical Italy! Benvenuti a Roma! Upon your arrival at the airport, make your own way to your hotel and take some time to unwind and explore the city at your leisure. At 07:45 pm, we will pick you up from your hotel and head towards Via del Teatro Marcello. Accompanied by our knowledgeable local guide, you will embark on a captivating journey to uncover the marvels of the Eternal City, which is charming during the day and truly romantic at sunset.
Rome is famous for its exquisite fountains, and among them, the Turtle Fountain (Fontana delle Tartarughe) in Piazza Mattei stands out as one of the most beautiful. You will traverse the Jewish Ghetto, renowned for its historical significance and authentic Roman ambiance. Additionally, the Jewish Ghetto of Rome, the second oldest after the one in Venice, is considered the heart and soul of Roman cuisine.
Next, you will venture into Piazza Della Rotonda and marvel at the illuminated Pantheon, the ancient temple of Marcus Agrippa that has remained unaltered throughout the centuries and exudes a mesmerizing charm at night, away from the crowds. Prepare for a special moment as you close your eyes, make a wish, and toss a coin over your right shoulder into the Trevi Fountain. Legend has it that those who perform this ritual are destined to return to Rome someday.
Continuing your stroll, you will reach Piazza di Spagna, a lively square renowned for its picturesque location at the foot of the Spanish Steps. Ascend these iconic steps to relish a delightful view from the summit. After this enriching and fulfilling walk, there’s only one thing left to complete this extraordinary experience: indulge in a creamy and delectable Gelato, our treat!
The tour concludes in the vicinity of the Spanish Steps, allowing you to relish the remainder of the evening at your own pace. You can make your way back to the hotel independently for an overnight stay, cherishing the memories of this remarkable day in Rome.
Enjoy a delightful breakfast at your hotel before being picked up at approximately 7:00 am. Our journey commences as we embark on a coach heading south, traversing through the captivating regions of Lazio and Campania. Upon reaching Naples, we will indulge in a brief panoramic tour, ascending Vomero hill to relish breathtaking vistas of the Gulf of Naples, encompassing iconic landmarks such as Vesuvius, Capri, Ischia, and Procida. This will provide you with an excellent opportunity to capture some memorable photographs. Subsequently, we will descend towards the port of Mergellina, bidding farewell to the city as we continue our southbound expedition towards Mount Vesuvius. Our next destination is the town of Pompeii, where we will satiate our appetites with an authentic Neapolitan pizza for lunch.
Following this delectable meal, we will venture into one of the world’s most significant archaeological sites: Pompeii, an esteemed UNESCO World Heritage Site. With our Skip the Line access and the guidance of an expert, we will immerse ourselves in the haunting ruins of Pompeii, transporting us back to the tragic days of 79 AD. It was during this time that Mount Vesuvius erupted with devastating force, blanketing the prosperous Roman city in deadly volcanic ashes and toxic gases, forever preserving it until the present day. Explore the remnants of this once-thriving city, visiting ancient houses, “bars,” and marveling at the preserved frescoes and mosaics, offering glimpses into the opulence and prosperity of Pompeii in its prime.
After the captivating visit, we will embark on a scenic drive along the enchanting Sorrentine Coast, eventually arriving in Sorrento. Here, we will relish a delectable dinner (men are kindly requested to adhere to a jacket dress code) and settle into our new hotel for an overnight stay.
Indulge in a delightful morning meal at the hotel and prepare yourself for a thrilling adventure to the captivating island of Capri: an incredibly sought-after summer retreat in the Mediterranean! Subject to the prevailing weather and sea conditions, you will have the opportunity to witness the enchanting Blue Grotto from a charming rowboat. Following this, savor a delectable lunch at a nearby eatery and subsequently explore the island at your leisure. Upon returning to the mainland, make your way back to the hotel for a delectable dinner, marking the conclusion of your stay in Sorrento. This will be your final night at the hotel.
Begin your day with breakfast at your hotel, followed by a relaxed morning to discover the charms of Sorrento. As the afternoon arrives, make your way to the Naples port, where you will embark on the Tirrenia/Snav ferry bound for Palermo. Allow the gentle motion of the waves to lull you into a peaceful slumber. Please note that dinner and breakfast will not be provided during the ferry journey.
Upon reaching the delightful city of Palermo, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a pleasant dinner at the hotel and take some time to recharge for the exciting journey that awaits you.
Begin your day with a breakfast at the hotel, preparing yourself for an exciting morning expedition to Monreale. This ancient royal town has recently been acknowledged as a UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for its almonds, olive oil, citrus fruits, and exquisite Norman architecture. Explore the remarkable Cathedral of Monreale and afterward, take some time to browse and shop for local delicacies and souvenirs.
Return to Palermo and embark on a captivating walking tour of the city. Stroll through the charming streets of the Old Town, immersing yourself in the fascinating stories of Palermo’s 3,000-year history. Along the way, you’ll encounter notable landmarks such as Palermo Cathedral. Step inside this magnificent place of worship and be awe-inspired by its arches, cupolas, and mosaics, reflecting a captivating fusion of influences from various periods of domination on the island.
In the late afternoon, savor some free time to relax and explore at your leisure. As the day draws to a close, make your way back to the hotel for a delightful dinner. Rest comfortably overnight, anticipating the adventures that lie ahead.
Commence your day with an early breakfast before embarking on a journey to Erice, an enchanting medieval village nestled on the slopes of Monte San Giuliano. Renowned for its well-preserved charm, Erice is said to have remained unchanged since the sixth century. Explore its winding labyrinth of streets, which provide a delightful setting for a refreshing morning stroll. Next, proceed to the Saline, an exceptional lagoon that harmoniously combines history, nature, and archaeology, offering visitors a plethora of unique and captivating experiences.
Following this, we will venture to Marsala, renowned for its production of the famous Marsala wine. Since 1997, Villa Romana del Casale has been recognized as one of Italy’s many UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
