If you're looking to visit the two most sacred Christian destinations in the world, then Jerusalem and Bethlehem are the places to visit. On this tour we'll start on the top of Mount Scopus, taking in the panoramic views of Jerusalem and its surrounding areas. We'll make our way down the mount towards the Old City, passing the Garden of Gethsemane, Church of All Nations and the Kidron Valley on our way. We'll enter the Old City into the Jewish Quarter, where we'll see the sights of the Byzantine Cardo and we'll visit the famous Western Wall. We'll move from here onto walk of the Via Dolorosa, the same walk that Jesus took with the cross. At the end of this journey we'll end at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, allowing us to visit the site of both Jesus' place of crucifixion and burial place. We'll make our way towards Bethlehem from here, arriving at Manger Square where we'll visit the Basilica of the Nativity. Here holds what is known formally as the Grotto of the Nativity, the place that Jesus was born. You'll also see the excavated mosaic which has been in existence since the 4th century, when the church was first built. If we've enough time at the end of the tour, we'll then head beneath the Church of St Catherine to visit the chapel caves. As we leave Bethlehem we drive back to the hotels.

With this tour we'll make our way to Southern Israel, heading through the Judean Hills and past the famous Inn of the Good Samaritan. We'll take a short stop just at sea level to make the most of the great photo opportunity, before we continue to head below sea level to the Dead Sea. We'll stop at our first point of the tour at Masada, where from here we'll head to the plateau summit via a cable car to tour what still stands of Herrod's palace-fortress, now 2,055 years old. Some of the structures here are truly incredible, with a bathhouse and various palaces. Once we've explored this area, we'll head onto our next stop, heading past the oasis of Ein Gedi and Qumran, the very place were the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. We'll relax for the remainder of the day on one of the many lovely Dead Sea beaches. The Dead Sea has it's name due to the extremely saline (salty) waters, where it is 8.6 times as saline as the normal ocean. Because of this, the water is naturally a lot more buoyant. Another great use of the resources offered by the Dead Sea is the mud makes for a fantastic face mask!
