Itinerary
On the first day of your tour, you will embark on an early morning journey at 7:15 am, from the Hotel St. Martin or Diana Roof Garden, and you will be transported by a deluxe coach to the charming town of Assisi. Surrounded by ancient walls dating back to the Middle Ages, you will have the opportunity to explore this picturesque destination at your own leisurely pace. During your visit, make sure to take the time to visit the stunning Basilica of St. Francis, a treasure trove of art and culture with masterpieces by renowned artists Giotto and Cimabue. After admiring the artwork, you’ll have some free time to grab lunch (not included) before boarding the bus and setting off to the magnificent city of Siena. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Siena is renowned for its historical horse race, the Paleo, which takes place in the beautiful Piazza del Campo. After taking in the sights of this unique place, you’ll continue your journey to Florence, the “Cradle of Renaissance,” where you will check into your hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner before a well-deserved rest.
You will awaken to the delicious aroma of breakfast before setting off to explore the beauty of Florence. With roots dating back to Etruscan-Roman times and reaching its pinnacle during the Renaissance with the help of Michelangelo, this city is a true feast for the senses. You will be awestruck by the countless monuments, churches, and buildings including the iconic Santa Maria del Fiore, also known as the Duomo, with its breathtaking dome crafted by Filippo Brunelleschi. Other notable highlights include the “Campanile” tower, the Baptistery, Piazza Della Signoria, Palazzo Della Signoria, and the Basilica of Santa Croce. After a satisfying lunch at a typical Tuscan restaurant in Piazza Santa Croce, you can choose to take a leisurely stroll through the charming cobblestone streets of Florence on your own or opt to take an optional short trip to Pisa, one of the four main Marine Republics of Italy and explore the famous Leaning Tower and other monuments. Overnight stay in Florence.
After a satisfying breakfast in Florence, you will depart for the elegant city of Bologna, where you will discover the charming city center with its picturesque “porticos” and bustling shopping streets. Starting at Piazza Malpighi, you will take a leisurely walk to the heart of the city, Piazza del Nettuno and Piazza Maggiore (Neptune square and Major square) , and visit King Renzo’s Palace, Palazzo Podestà and the grand Basilica of San Petronio, one of the largest in the world. Bologna is an absolute gourmet’s paradise, be sure to savor a delicious meal of your choice (not included). In the afternoon, you will proceed to Padova, home to the iconic Sant’Antonio Basilica, one of the most visited churches by Catholic pilgrims. Later in the evening, you will arrive in Venice, one of the most romantic cities of the whole world and, undoubtedly the most beautiful city built by man, and check-in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
The tour concludes after breakfast, but you have the opportunity to extend your trip and explore more of Italy’s sights and sounds such as Venice, Milan, Como, or the Northern Lakes region, making unforgettable memories as you experience all it has to offer.
