Tour Overview
Embarking on a journey through the charming Spain and Portugal for 10 days is an experience you wouldn’t want to miss. This adventure will take you to some of the best destinations that both countries have to offer. The trip begins in Madrid before crossing the border to Lisbon. While in Lisbon, take in the iconic landmarks such as the Belem Tower and Monastery of Los Jeronimos. As you continue on this journey, make a stop at the significant center of pilgrimage, Fatima, before crossing back into Spain to explore the medieval quarter of Caceres and the enchanting city of Sevilla. Walkthrough Cordoba’s Jewish Quarter and visit the renowned Mosque/Cathedral before embarking on the Route of the White Villages and Ronda. While in Granada, be sure to admire the stunning Alhambra and Generalife before traveling to Valencia and finally to Barcelona. Along the way, there will be optional excursions and evening shows, giving you the perfect blend of culture, history, and relaxation. This 10-day journey is not just an ordinary trip; it’s a life-changing experience that will broaden your horizons and leave you with unforgettable memories. Get ready to explore some of the most beautiful destinations that Spain and Portugal have to offer.
Itinerary
We will depart from a designated meeting point in Madrid at 8:00 AM and head towards the region of Extremadura. Our first stop will be Trujillo, the birthplace of Spanish conquerors. You will have free time to explore the beautiful and monumental Plaza Mayor. Afterward, we will cross the Portuguese border and arrive at Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, located at the mouth of the Tagus River. The distance covered will be approximately 658 kilometers. In the evening, you may choose to attend a show of Fado, typical Portuguese songs, and music, with extra charge.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel, and get ready for an exciting journey through charming Lisbon. Begin your morning city sightseeing tour by visiting the historic Alfama district, the Belem Tower, the Monastery of Los Jeronimos, and other significant landmarks.
Enjoy your free time in the afternoon to explore the city at your leisure. You can also choose to take an optional excursion to Sintra, Estoril, or Cascais, with extra charge.
Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel and prepare to depart for Fatima, a significant center of pilgrimage. Once there, you will have free time to visit the Shrine and explore this beautiful destination. Return to Lisbon and enjoy your accommodations.
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will depart towards the Spanish border and continue our journey to Caceres. We will have some free time to explore its Plaza Mayor and wander around the old city, famous for its well-preserved medieval quarter, recognized as a World Heritage site. You can have lunch at your leisure (not include) before we continue our journey towards the south of Spain, finally arriving in Sevilla. Enjoy dinner and accommodations upon arrival, after a long drive covering a distance of 575 kilometers.
Start the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel and get ready to discover the enchanting city of Sevilla. Our morning city tour will include a visit to the beautiful María Luisa Park, the grand Plaza de España, the exterior of the city’s stunning Cathedral and its iconic bell tower, the Giralda. We will also explore the typical neighborhood of Santa Cruz with its charming streets, squares, and narrow alleys. You can also choose to enjoy an optional (with extra charge) boat ride on the Guadalquivir River, where you can admire the panoramic view of the Gold Tower and Expo 92, or visit the Maestranza bullring. In the evening, also as an optional, you can attend a flamenco show while enjoying a delicious dinner (included).
After having breakfast at your hotel, we will depart for Cordoba which is approximately 145 km away. Once we arrive, we will begin our walking tour from Almodovar Gate through the Jewish Quarter, and eventually visit the renowned Mosque/Cathedral. You will have some free time in the afternoon to explore the city at your leisure. Later in the day, we will have dinner and settle in our accommodations.
Following breakfast at the hotel, we will continue our journey towards the Route of the White Villages and Ronda. You will have some free time to explore the area on your own before continuing on to Costa del Sol. Dinner will be provided, and we will stay overnight in our accommodations.
After breakfast, we will travel 180 km to Granada to visit the magnificent Alhambra and Generalife, which was formerly the residence of the Moorish kings. You will have the opportunity to admire the stunning fountains, gardens, and arches. Dinner will be provided, and you may choose to take an optional tour (with extra charge) of the caves of Sacromonte and watch a typical gipsy flamenco show.
After breakfast, we will depart from our hotel and travel to Valencia via Guadix, Baza, and Puerto Lumbreras towards the Mediterranean coast. We will stay in Valencia for the night.
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will have some free time in the morning to explore Valencia at your leisure. At mid-morning, we will depart for Barcelona which is approximately 355 km away. Upon arrival, our services will come to an end.

We use a variety of hotels in each destination, so you may stay in a hotel different to that listed here. Hotels are selected closer to departure date; you will receive a confirmed list prior to your departure date.

What’s Included
- 9 nights of accommodation in 4-star hotels.
For the departures scheduled between October 25th and November 29th, the hotel accommodation will be provided at Hotel Exe Las Adelfas in Córdoba. For the departures scheduled between November 1st and December 27th, the hotel accommodation will be arranged at Hotel Sol Don Pablo in Torremolinos.

Please note that if tickets to the Patronato of the Alhambra and Generalife are unavailable on specific dates for the Visit, a tour of the city of Granada will be provided instead. This tour will include visits to the Palace of Carlos V, the Archaeological Museum, the Church of Santa María de la Alhambra, Royal Chapel and a walk through the Alcaiceria (silk market) and the Cathedral Square.
